- Electsport of Chad is determined to beat AC Colombe in their final game of the 2025 UNIFFAC Women’s CAF Champions League playoffs.
- Both clubs have lost all their three games of the competition and see this as an opportunity to restore their pride and respect.
Coach Betrand Noumassei and goalkeeper Eliane Sabra have stated their last game of the 2025 Women’s Champions League qualifiers for the UNIFFAC zone against AC Colombe on Monday, September 29 is a must win for the team as it presents an opportunity to restore their dignity.
Speaking during the traditional pre-match conference this Sunday at the Estadio de Malabo the duo showed fresh optimism and determination to react from the three defeats in three games.
“Tomorrow’s game is our game of the competition. We have the obligation to finish on a high and try to regain the confidence of Chadians here and those back at home.
“I believe the players too are more determined to get the win against a side that has also had their struggles in this competition.”
“For us in the technical crew, this is a big deal. Big deal because we have lost three games and lost after conceding so many goals. So this Monday is an occasion for redemption for the staff and the players.
Deputy goalkeeper, Allaisem agreed with the lead trainer when quizzes about the target going into the game.
“We came here to learn. Our three defeats have taught us a lot. We have spoken amongst ourselves as players of the team and told each other this game is an important one for us to show a reaction. We have spoken and are cognizant of the fact that tomorrow’s game is between the last two teams of the competition and are keen not to disappoint again. We sorted a few hitches we had amongst ourselves and believe we are ready to show a reaction.
We came here very ambitious and confident. We started the competition very well, but unfortunately we lost it at some point in time,”Sabra added.

Besides just winning for the sake of their pride, coach Betrand revealed a win could add value in another way. We have learnt our;
“Yes victory in the game against Colombe will restore our dignity and more. A win in the game against a team that wants it too will certainly cause our officials to have hope and chase the light at the end of the tunnel as it will signal we can do better in future,” Betrand Noumassei added.
Electsport had a strong start to the competition, opening scores against table topping FC Ebolowa but couldn’t keep the pace and have struggled since then – conceding 21 goals in three games and only scoring once.
Going by the words of the duo, Electsport versus AC Colombe is far from just a formality game. It is an opportunity for both sides to finish the disappointing tournament on a high and win back the hearts of all and sundry, knowing that could just be all it entails for a successful tournament.
Electsport of N’Djamena and AC Colombe of Congo will start a dramatic Monday with a lunch time meeting at the Estadio de Malabo hoping to win and finish in the fourth spot behind 15 de Agosto, FC Ebolowa and M’Sichana occupying the top three spots in any order.
The second showdown of the day at 4pm CAT sees FC Ebolowa and 15 de Agosto battle it out for the title and the sole slot to represent UNIFFAC from the qualifiers.
