Mile 12 FC and Precious Ladies FC have emerged as the big winners of the 2026 Santa Youth Holiday Championship, claiming the men’s and women’s football titles respectively.
Mile 12 sealed the men’s championship in dramatic fashion, overcoming China Town FC 5–4 on penalties after a tightly contested final that could not be decided in regulation time.
The triumph capped an impressive campaign for Mile 12, who showed consistency throughout the competition before securing the title in a nerve-wracking shootout.
In the women’s competition, Precious Ladies FC completed their own successful campaign by being crowned champions, adding another highlight to the third edition of the tournament.
Precious Ladies also produced the competition’s leading scorer, with their standout attacker finishing the tournament with nine goals, underlining the team’s attacking quality on their way to the title.
The Santa Youth Holiday Championship has continued to grow in scope, providing a platform for young athletes to compete and showcase their talents during the holiday period.
This year’s edition featured football alongside other sporting activities, further expanding opportunities for youths in the Santa community.
For Mile 12 and Precious Ladies, the tournament ended in the best possible way — with championship glory and trophies to show for their efforts.
Their success further highlights the growing importance of grassroots competitions in Cameroon, where community tournaments continue to provide young footballers with valuable opportunities to develop their talents and gain competitive experience.
