Myriam Nyadjou lands in USA after WAFCON glory, joins Kansas City Current

Cameroon international Myriam Maëva Nyadjou has completed a major move to the United States, signing for Kansas City Current in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

The 2026 WAFCON champion has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the American top-flight club, bringing an end to her spell with Amazon FAP, one of the leading clubs in Cameroon’s women’s championship.

Nyadjou’s move to Kansas City marks another important milestone in a career that has continued to rise, particularly following her involvement in Cameroon’s historic 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph.

The midfielder/defender was part of the Indomitable Lionesses squad that conquered Africa in Morocco, adding continental silverware to her growing list of achievements and increasing her visibility on the international stage.

Her performances for both club and country have now earned her the opportunity to pursue her career in one of the world’s most competitive women’s football environments.
