Former Nigerian Premier League champions, Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt have completed the signing of experienced Cameroonian forward Tegemo Emmanuel from YOSA of Bamenda.

The lethal finisher was unveiled as a Rivers player this Wednesday, after the club offered him a contract following his impressive display during a short tryouts period.

The move to Nigeria brings an end to Tegemo’s long stay on the books of YOSA where he was captain in his final two seasons.

Tegemo has penned a two-year contract with officials of Rivers United though the club is yet to unveil the player.

The 2022 Nigerian champions only transferred Ngweni Ndasi Kadiang to Jeddah FC last week but now have another Cameroonian on board in Tegemo.

Tegemo was YOSA’s top scorer in two of his final three seasons at the club – the only exception being last year owing to a shoulder problem which kept him out for months.

The move abroad is the first for the 21-year-old who has all of his career ahead of him.

Having finished runners-up to Enyimba last year, Rivers are preparing a team for both domestic and foreign competitions.
