Exclusive: Brighton considering Carlos Baleba as replacement for Moisés Caicedo

Potential indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Carlos Noom Quomah Baleba could become Brighton and Hove Albion’s replacement for Moisés Caicedo who made a big money mo to Chelsea in the past hours.

Information reaching our News room have it that the Premier League side has been working on securing the transfer of the sensational teenager from Lille even before the Caicedo deal was agreed and could accelerate things now.

Baleba, 19, joined Lille in January 2022 from renown Cameroon football Academy, EFBC but has become a fan favorite in Northern France after becoming a first team regular.

Though the ex-Cameroon U-17 international has a market value of €5 Millions per Transfermkt, Lille could get as much as four times the amount before letting him go.

West Ham United, Arsenal, Manchester United, Napoli among others have been on the rumor mill as interested party over the past weeks.

Baleba had a brilliant game last weekend against Nice in what could be his last game for the club. He lasted just over an hour as his side played a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Riviera.
