Indomitable Lionesses’ of Cameroon forward Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene has penned a new one-year deal at Russian side CSKA Moscow.
The 34-year-old who first joined the club in 2017 is expected to stay in Moscow until next summer after her club offered the new deal.
Club legend, Aboudi has enjoyed a good start to the current season, thus explaining the decision to extend her stay from president Tetyana Chorma.
The new deal offered to the Lionesses’ skipper also prepares her as a coach as the club starts preparations for her career within the game upon retirement.
Aboudi has scored over 30 goals in close to a hundred appearances for CSKA, helping the club win all domestic trophies on offer over the years.
The 2016 Women’s African Cup of Nations (AWCON) player of the tournament is expected to inspire her club regain the Russian Premier League title which they failed to grab last season.
