The Intermediate Lions of Cameroon will depart the country on January 3. Captain Yves Alain Dooh Moukoko and mates will travel to Tunisia to conclude the final phase of their preparations for the 2022 Africa Nations Championship in Algeria.

According to our sources, coach Saidou Alioum’s squad will arrive Tunis on January 4 to finalize preparations for the tournament.

The Intermediate Lions will spend ten days in Tunisia, during which they will play two games against tournament regulars Uganda and Sudan on January 5 and 9 respectively.

This Pan African Sports News portal understands after the pre-CHAN tournament the intermediate Lions will stay in Tunis till January 13. The team will travel to their base in Oran at the end of the camp and arrive in the late hours of January 13.

Cameroon making it’s sixth appearance in the competition is in group E alongside Niger and Congo Republic.

Jerome Ngom Mbeleki and his mates open their competition against Congo Republic on January 16 and conclude their group matches against Niger eight days later.

Having reached the quarter-final on two occasions and the semi-final during the last edition of the tournament, this generation of Cameroon players know expectations are high.

The sixth edition of the CHAN will get underway on January 13 and run till February 4 across four major cities in Algeria.

The build up to the tournament has been hit by some controversial stories including a boycott plan from team Cameroon but kick442.com can authoritatively confirm all 18 nations will be in Algeria to participate in the event CAF boss Dr Patrice Motsepe has revealed he wants to be the best of all time.
