Abuja 2023: Medals Continue To Rain For Team Bayelsa At The 2023 Para Games

Team Bayelsa continued blistering performance at the on-going Para Games in Abuja as more medals were added to the table on Day 3.

The tournament which was declared open by the Sports Minister on Friday started with a lot of activities in day 1 and day 2 but team Bayelsa took it to another level with multiple medals in various sports.

The winner of the maiden edition recorded its first Gold medal in Canoeing led by Taritimi Warren and followed it up in Swimming as Selekekeme Rejoice, Clever Tarenipre, Anetorufa Bob and Opori God’stime among others were on the Gold chat.

Team Bayelsa finished day 3, Para Badminton 6 silver, 1 bronze while in Wheelchair Tennis 1 bronze.

Similarly, Para Canoeing 5 gold, 3 silver and Para Swimming 7 gold, 3 silver.

Meanwhile, Team Bayelsa total medals as at day-3, 12 gold, 12 silver and 2 bronze with more action attraction to follow on Monday day-4 of the National Para Games, Abuja.
