The head coach of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda Yves Clement Arroga, has expressed gratitude to fans of the club for their role run in to the title challenging position going into Sunday’s last play-off game against Gazelle FA.
Thousands of fans of the West Region club are expected to congregate at the Bepanda Omnisport stadium for the champions making fixture.
Bamboutos FC are hoping to get a win and a helpful result from the other game to give them a chance of winning their first ever Elite One title.
Arroga believes the fans have been their ‘driving force and could be even on Sunday.
“The presence of the fans has been our driving force. I enourage them to remain supportive,” Arroga said.
Though the fans play a role, through their huge support off the pitch, the team needs all of its personel in order to respond on the pitch. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case with their 11-goal striker.
Arroga has had to depend on other forwards. However, he had a welcomed develop for the Mangwa Boys fans.
“We don’t depend on Kemajou, but tomorrow we may have him. We have the best team players at this tournament.”
Bamboutos FC with three so far goes into Sunday’s do-or-die clash against Gazelle FA knowing anything less than three points will put them out of the title race.
The game is scheduled for 3PM at the historic Douala Reunification stadium which also will host Canon Yaounde versus holders Cotonsport in what bookmakers have named the clash of champions.
