Arsenal defender William Saliba will attend the MTN Elite One title play-offs matches this Thursday in Douala, Cameroon.

The Cameroon descent-French international was invited to the event following Wednesday’s meeting president Samuel Eto’o Fils of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

Eto’o is believed to have invited the former Marseille sweeper to the event during their conversation on Wednesday in Tsinga.

Saliba is currently in his native Cameroon to spend time with his family and undergo treatment for a back injury that has kept him out of a number of weeks.

Saliba limped off in Arsenal’s exit from the Europa League against Sporting CP in April, suffering an issue with his back that forced the youngster to be substituted. The defender has missed the last few games which has concided with a drop in form for Arsenal FC.

He is expected to pick between Bamboutos FC versus Cotonsport which is the biggest fixture of the day or he attends the meeting between historic Canon Yaounde and Gazelle FA.

The Cameroon top-flight championship is in the second round of matches in the title deciding phase where the champions will be decided based on the highest number of points obtained in three matches.
