Ugandan Fauzia Najjemba completes move to Russia

Crested Cranes forward Fauzia Najjemba has completed a move to Russian women top tier side Dynamo Moscow on Friday evening.

The talented winger crosses from Kazakhstan side Biik Shymkent to Russia for a record transfer fee for an East African women player.

She has signed a 3 year contract at her new club as she looks to start a new journey.

The 19 year old arrived at Biik Shymkent in mid February 2022 a club that also had Zambia international Grace Chanda.

Najjemba ,in her first full season won a domestic double , scoring 15 goals and 9 assists to her name that saw her close the year in style.

The year 2022 also saw her being nominated for CAF Awards in the category of 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 , followed by her participation as a debutant at the WAFCON Championship in Morocco.

In Uganda ,she has been through the ranks , traded at Kampala Queens WFC and in 2021 she won the country’s award for the Airtel FUFA Women Player of the year.
