Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon midfielder Grace Jeanette Ngock Yango has joined French Ligue 2 side Olympique Marseille from top-flight side Fleury 97.

Marseille took to their social media handles to announce the deal this Friday evening thus bringing an end to Yango’s two years stay on the books of her former club.

The experienced midfielder joins the ambitious Marseille project on a one-year-deal which marks a return to the second tier championship.

The 29-year-old globetrotter who has spent the last ten years on the books of French clubs including Guingamp and Fleury 91 also played for Turbine Postdam and FC Kattowitz in Germany.

Yango who also played for ŽFK Spartak Subotica in Serbia over a decade ago is expected to inspire Marseille to the topflight championship.

The Southern French club is currently second in the domestic championship behind Saint Etienne which they face on January 22 in a crucial promotion chase clash.

The Cameroon international with 76 caps and three goals to her account is part of the squad that is hoping to qualify for the 2023 FIFA World Cup tournament in Australia and New Zealand next year.
