South South Directors of Sports Commends NTTF Zonal Representative

South South Zonal Directors have commended the Zonal Representative in the board of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade for building a gigantic table tennis structure in Bayelsa.

The South South Zonal Directors gave the commendations during a courtesy call at his facilities in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital.

The South South Zonal Directors were led by the chairman of the South South Directors of Sports who doubles as Bayelsa State Director of Sports Sir Braveman Wodi to visit the Table Tennis facility popularly known as “fortress”

According to them, they are pleased with the progress of the facility so far, expressing hope that when the facility is completed many youths in the State would be employed and hunger for table tennis would increase in the State.

The South South Zonal Directors hailed Mr. Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade for his foresight and drive towards the development of sports in the region, describing the edifices as a world class facility, pointing out that Bayelsa would soon be the headquarters of Table Tennis in Nigeria.

They equally appreciated Ebikpolade for his untiring passion and show of love to other states in the region by donating table tennis equipment worth millions of naira to the various Table Tennis Association in the zone, noting that the they are elated to hear that many table tennis players in Bayelsa are in the best university through Ebikpolade and his vice Ranami Igrubia.

Earlier in a remark, Zonal Representative in the board of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade who is also chairman of Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association, thanked the Directors of Sports for the unplanned visit.

Ebikpolade who highlighted the importance of the fortress to the South South region, said the beautiful  edifice would be ready for use before the end of this year, expressing the need to invest in table tennis as a veritable platform to take the youths away from social vices.

He stated that the only way the lads can have something to fall back on after sports was to combine education with sports, stressing that table tennis association in the last few years has sent it’s players to Benson Idahosa University, Edo State for studies in other for them to better their life after sports.
