South Regional League play-offs gets underway this weekend

The South Region play-offs is set to begin on Saturday, June 17 in Sangmelima. The last phase of the regional league to produce a representative for the region at the national playoffs for promotion to Elite 2.

African Kings Academy and Atlantics FC of Kribi who represented the region at the 32nd finals of the Cameroon cup, will face off in the opening game of the play-offs. Meanwhile the next round of games comes up on Sunday in the chief town of the region, kribi.

The game on Sunday will be graced by the presence of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o Fils.

Kickoff for the quarter-finals of the play-offs is set to be done in Sangmelima and semi-final at the Afanmabe municipal stadium in Kribi next Wednesday, June 21 by Samuel Eto’o still.

The Ocean city is first regions already ready to begin the journey of producing a champion from the region.

Otongo Ada FC, Afrikan Kings, Atlantic, Promofoot, OBB, Esperance, Koba Sports and TPO make up the clubs competiting for the lone ticket to represent the region.
