Cameroon international Andre Onana, Devis Epassy and Vincent Aboubakar will donate sign kits of theirs as prizes to two distinguished personnel during the maiden edition of The Elite Sport Tournament organized by 2002 Africa Cup of Nations winner and former Cordinator of Cameroon’s national teams, Bill Tchato Mbiayi.
Supporting sports activities and promoting a healthy lifestyle for all through corpo and veteran football is the credo of former Indomitable Lion Bill Tchato, promoter of Sport Elite. The former Indomitable Lions central defender is organising the first edition of the corporate Football 6-a-side tournament.
This Thursday, May 11, his structure Sport Elite organized draw of the said competition. Six companies including: Hilton Hotel, FEICOM, UPOWA, Black & White, Boukarou and Luc’s Pressing will compete on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the Sport Elite Tournament. Bill Tchato on the objective of this tournament: “This is a first and we hope that the companies will have a good time at the Complexe Mundi on Saturday 13 May. This tournament aims to allow the employees of these companies to get away from it all, but above all, it’s about the conviviality of football. It is a moment of relaxation away from the daily stress and pressure of work. It will also allow those who took part to be more productive when they return after the tournament.

The six-team tournament will take place over one day. In detail, the 6 teams will form 2 pools of 3 teams. The mechanism will be simple, there will be 3 pool matches, then a 5th and 6th place match, a classification match between 3rd and 4th, then a semi final and finally the final. The match format is 2 X 25 minutes with a 5 minute break.
Following the draw, Pool A consists of Black & White, Hilton Hotel and Upowa; while the second pool, Pool B, includes FEICOM, Luc’s Pressing and Boukarou. The kick-off will be given at 9:30 am and for almost six hours, the said teams will compete with skills and talents in order to strengthen the bonds through football and spend convivial and relaxing moments in fair play.
The first edition of the Sport Elite tournament will have many surprises: “The best scorer will win an autographed jersey of the Captain of the Indomitable Lions Aboubakar Vincent, the best fair-play team will benefit from a set of 21 complete jerseys. The jerseys of Cameroonian goalkeepers Devis Epassy and André Onana will also constitute the prizes of the tournament as well as a pair of gloves offered by Devis Epassy,” said Bill Tchato.
The companies participating in the Sport Elite Tournament were selected on the basis of responsiveness. “I sent invitations to about twenty companies and the first six to have been proactive were chosen,” said Bill Tchato before continuing that “each company has contributed 1 million CFA francs each to participate in this tournament.
It must be said that the Elite Sport Tournament is not the only project that the former Indomitable Lion supports. At the end of the Elite Sport Tournament, Bill Tchato plans to “form a Dream Team of companies that will play against the former Indomitable Lions…”.
The Elite Sport Tournament draw ceremony was graced by the presence of the Vice President of FECAFOOT, Céline Eko, but also that of former Indomitable Lions such as Goodwill Ambassador H.E. Roger Milla, Timothée Atouba or Bernard Tchoutang.
