Frank Magri was quick off the mark as Toulouse FC swept aside FC Metz with a convincing 4–0 win on Sunday October 19, French in Ligue 1.
The Cameroonian forward opened the scoring just two minutes in, netting his fourth goal of the season in eight matches. Five minutes later, he earned a penalty that Aron Dønnum converted to put Toulouse firmly in control.
From there, the match slipped away from Metz. Stéphane Le Mignan’s men lost their shape and composure before halftime. Defender Sadibou Sané endured a nightmare, conceding soft fouls before being shown a straight red in stoppage time (45+2’) for a rough challenge on Cásseres Jr. With ten men, Metz had no way back.
Toulouse kept their foot on the gas, dominating possession and dictating tempo. Late goals from Yann Gboho (79’) and Charlie Cresswell (84’) sealed a night to remember for the home fans.
The win is Toulouse’s second in a row, pushing them into the top half of the table and confirming their growing momentum. For Magri, it was another complete performance , sharp, involved, and decisive.
Metz now face a difficult trip to Lille, a test they cannot afford to fail after this collapse. Toulouse, meanwhile, travel full of confidence. Carles Martínez’s will be banking on the Cameroonians form to guide Les Violets.
