Ryan Tchato, son of former Cameroon International, Bill Tchato, was part of Montpellier’s squad that went against Auxerre in matchday 20 of the French Ligue 1 on Sunday, January 29, an away game that saw the visitors record a 2-0 win.

18-year-old Ryan just recently got promoted to the senior team of Montpellier, joins his brother Enzo Tchato who just recovered from an injury, at the center back position of the club.

Though Ryan finished the game on the bench, this is the young lad’s first call up to the senior team, having being part of the club’s trainees just like his older brother and he has brought in to fill the recent lapses at the back Line following three consecutive defeats.

Ryan passed through the club’s U-19 team as well as Montpellier’s team B before being intergrated to the senior category.

Unlike his brother, the France born center back is yet to represent Cameroon National team at the various categories.

The full back player comes in at a time when Montpellier seems to be in danger and need to wake up from slumber.

Montpellier has now moved up to the 14th position with 20 points, having won just 6 out of 20 games, drawn two and lost 12.
