Krimi Football Club of Garoua has defeated Ngaoundere FC by two goals to zero in their second match at the ongoing national interpools in Yaounde.
Played at the Annex B of the Olembe stadium, Papa Ntigui Amougou scored from the penalty spot while Christ Mandiole Emma Pagou made it two with a sublime header in the second half.
Both teams failed to produce any meaningful goal scoring chance in the first half of the match.
However, Ngaoundere FC had a majority of ball possession and came close scoring but their attackers all wasted their chances.
The first real action of the first half came in additional time when Barama Isiyaga of Krimi FC was fouled in the 18yards area and the referee correctly awarded a penalty to Krimi FC.
Papa Ntigui Amougou stepped up and send goalkeeper Idrissou Mohamadou the wrong way as Krimi FC took a one goal lead into the break.
Upon resumption of the second half, Ngaoundere FC conducted two substitutions and it paid off immediately as Norbert Sakoua came close to leveling scores for Ngaoundere FC. His header was saved by goalkeeper Maupas Atokari of Krimi FC.
Minutes later,. Krimi FC almost doubled scores but the sloppy play from Sali Hamza was saved.
At the 67th minute of play, Christ Mandiole Emma Pagou header from a corner kick doubled the scores for Krimi FC.
All efforts from Ngaoundere FC to get back into the match failed to produce any meaningful outcome.
The victory takes Krimi FC to 3points after two matches, same number of points with Ngaoundere FC.
On the next playing day on Thursday July 20, 2023, Krimi FC will take on Olympique Biwong Bane while Ngaoundere FC will be in standby.
