Interpools 2023: Tiku Egbe scores again as ISOHSA beats Bafmeng United to emerge champions

2023 National Interpools highest goal scorer Albert Tiku Egbe scored one of ISOHSA’s goals as they defeated Bafmeng United 2#0 to emerge champions of the competition.

Brandon Babo scored the second goal of the match, his third goal of the competition.

Match Highlights

Albert Tiku Egbe created the first opening of the match when he break opened the Bafmeng United’s defense line at the 13th minute of the match with a sublime pass from midfield to find Dieudonne Onega. Unfortunately, goalkeeper Leonard Ngam of Bafmeng United was well place to make the save.

Bafmeng United was able to contain the opening quarter pressure from Isle of Hope Sports Academy when Milton Ngeh, Ahudu Lukong and Ngong Livinus had some chances at goal but goalkeeper Kelvin Ashu Mbah with his experience was able to deal with the pressure.

At the 39th minute of play, Ezikiel Che Komando who was making his first start in the competition for Bafmeng United failed to convert a cross from close range.

In the 43rd minute of play, both teams came close to scoring but their goalkeepers dealt with the situation.

First Ahudu Lukong’s shot was saved by Kelvin Ashu Mbah and Dieudonne Onega’s shot was also saved by Leonard Ngam of Bafmeng United.

Bafmeng United’s starting XI against ISOHSA

Before the start of the second half, coach Nlend Aime of ISHOSA brought in Eben Tomi in place of Nick Afafa Nlend.

Five minutes into the second half, Brandon Babo thought he had given ISOHSA the lead but his attempt to go round goalkeeper Leonard Ngam was the wrong one as the goalkeeper had the better of him and made the save.

In the 52nd minute of play, Albert Tiku Egbe created space for himself in the 18 yards area and his beautiful strike went pass goalkeeper Leonard Ngam as ISOHSA took the lead.

The goal caused Bafmeng United to open up play and ISOHSA took advantage of it.

In the 58th minute of play, Dieudonne Onega found Brandon Babo who scored the second goal of the match.

Attempts from Ahudu Lukong, Livinus Ngong and Genesis Shu Neba Mofor failed to change the scores of the match.
