Dilane Mveinti’s 50th minute solitary strike was all that Ngaoundere Football Club needed to grab all three points against Pouma Football League.
Both teams battled for bragging rights at the Annex 1 of the Omnisport stadium in Yaounde at the ongoing national interpools before the watchful eyes of Samuel Eto’o Fils, FECAFOOT President.
Both teams used the first half of the match to impose their own rythmn to the match.
However, it was Ngaoundere FC that proved the better side as they created better scoring opportunities through Jean Otis Junior Ali and Alain Assama.
Pouma Football Club were forced to defend for majority of the first half and they failed to create any meaningful scoring opportunity.
However, the scores remained zero goal on either side at half time.
Ngaoundere Football Club resumed the second half and continued with their dominance.
It paid off just five minutes after the restart when Dilane Mveinti fired home a shot in the 18yards area to give Ngaoundere FC the lead.
Pouma Football Club thought they had levelled scores when Jordan Junior Bang found the back of the net. Unfortunately, the goal was choked off by the referee.
Ngaoundere FC thus picks up a vital three points as they will take on Krimi FC on Tuesday July 18, 2023 during their second match.
Meanwhile, Pouma FC will be on standby.
