Hugo Biloa, the goalkeeper coach of Canon sportive of Yaoundé who represented the team during the pre-match press conference this Saturday ahead their crucial clash against Cotonsport, has confidently guaranteed smiles on the faces of their fans at the end of the encounter.
Despite the uncertainty, It is no news that the champion is most likely to come from this clash  in the final day of the Elite one playoffs this Sunday and as it stands, the Cotonites stand the chance of emerging champions as they seat first on the table with 6points.
Most likely, the “if” calculator’s definitely comes in place here given that if Canon beats Cotonsport by at least two goals, they become champions. But that is a notion the coach cancels from the minds of the population.
“No two matches are the same. We know how crucial this one will be so we are ready and there’s no need for calculators here to decide our fate. We have a match to play and win”
“We considered every game in this stage to be a final so we have one more final game left to win with a positive mindset. I assure you, we will get the goals and make the fans proud.
Canon has as advantage for this final decisive clash, the leagues top scorer, Emmanuel Mahop who is expected to get the goals though have not been very impressive in this stage of the competition.
“Mahop’s goals come as a result of the team’s collective effort and so we do not solely depend on him. Henry Paul Tchikeu was a clear example in the last game against Gazelle FA that we have other prolific strikers.
The 11 time champions will have to challenge Central Africa’s best for the title as the latter looks to defend and retain the trophy. Canon will need at least two goals against Cotonsport to emerge champion, unlike the holders who may grab it for the 13th time with just a draw.

Canon got to the playoffs as leaders of Pool A with 38 points, the highest number of points earned by any club this season from the two pools. Cotonsport finished second.
