The Mambas of Mozambique, have walked off the pitch, during their Pre_CHAN friendly game against the Black Galaxies of Ghana on Tuesday.

The two side clashed at the 5 July 1962 Olympics Stadium, Algiers, in what was their last friendly games before the kick-off of CHAN 2022 on Friday.

The Mambas opened scores at the 39 minute, and took a one goal lead to the break.

Upon resumption for the second half, the Black Galaxies pressed harder as they searched for the equalizer. Ghana won a penalty at the 72nd minute of the game, a moment which sparked a controversial end to the game.

Mozambique’s coach Chiquinho Conde, seemingly not satisfied with the decision to award Ghana a penalty, walked on to the pitch and order his players to leave the field.

All attempts from Ghanaian officials and the match officials to convince the Mambas to continue the game, fell on deaf ears, as the game ending abruptly, with Mozambique walking off the pitch while leading 1#0.
