Cameroon and Lyon striker Karl Toko Ekambi is the latest victim on the long list of top professional footballers whose homes have been visited by burglars in recent times.

Wednesday, December 14 was a sad day for the Lyon front man and his family as thieves yet to be identified took advantage of his absence from home to visit his residence in West France and made way with a number of valuables.

Security reports have it that an undisclosed some of money plus two golden jewels were taken away by hoodlums who got into the house through one of the windows.

The situation has caused Ekambi to reinforce security in his home while the right authorities have engaged in meticulous search of the perpetrators.

Over the years, a number of similar occurrences have cost top Footballers fortunes.

Actions aimed at completely eradicating such events and better securing the homes and investments of French residents have produced some instant results though much remains to be done.
