Bryan Song, the son of Cameroon football legend Rigobert Song, has taken a major step in his budding career after signing his first professional contract with French club FC Metz.

The young defender completed the signing in the presence of his father, who proudly accompanied him as he embarked on the next chapter of his football journey.

FC Metz shared images of the contract signing, with Rigobert Song standing alongside his son during the official ceremony. The moment highlighted the continuation of a footballing legacy, with Bryan now hoping to follow in the footsteps of one of Cameroon’s greatest-ever players.

Rigobert Song enjoyed a distinguished career, captaining the Indomitable Lions and earning a record number of appearances for Cameroon. He also represented several clubs in France, England, Italy and Turkey before moving into coaching, including serving as head coach of the Cameroon national team.

Bryan Song has progressed through FC Metz’s youth system and will now look to establish himself in the club’s senior ranks as he begins his professional career.
