Bryan Mbeumo was involved in two goals as Brentford held Brighton to a 3-3 draw match day 26 of the English Premier League on Saturday.

The 23-year-old Indomitable lions winger, recorded two assist in for the second and third goals, after Jesen’s cross to Jansson put the bees in front 10 minutes into the encounter.

Eleven minutes later, the host pulled an equalizer, but it took only about one minute for Bryan Mbeumo to flick a ball to Ivan Toney and the England striker netted his 17th league goal.

Barely five minutes into the second segment after both sides separated on a 2-2 draw, Mbeumo once again got fans on their feet after his smart and well taken free kick was quickly sent to the back of Steele J’s net for the third time in this encounter.

Despite the efforts, Brentford only managed to get a point at the end of the day, following a 90’ penalty awarded to Brighton and converted by Mac Allister.

Mbeumo was only brought out of the game after 79’ of engaging and impacting Brentford’s draw against host, something that was far fetched in Cameroon’s 2023 African cup of Nations qualifiers games where the striker was way below expectation compared to his performance in the den before and during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

However, this brings the forward’s number of assists this season to five, plus five goals scored in 28 games played in the Premier League.

Brentford are 7th on the classification table with 43 points, level on points with Brighton but only differ on goals.
