Joseph Ndoko has been suspended from his role as head coach of Cameroon’s U17 women’s national team, just weeks before the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) confirmed the decision in an official communiqué on October 1, citing serious allegations of misconduct. His suspension is immediate, meaning he will not travel with the squad to Morocco.
Ironically, Ndoko was still in charge of the team yesterday, when the U17 Lionesses played a farewell friendly against the senior Indomitable Lionesses at the Stade Militaire in Yaoundé.
In his place, Mike Joséphine Mimosette Ndoumou, currently assistant coach of the senior Lionesses, has been appointed to lead the U17s during the tournament.
FECAFOOT reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the moral and physical integrity of players and upholding the ethical standards that define Cameroonian and global football.
The sudden coaching change comes right as the U17 Lionesses step onto the world stage, making their upcoming World Cup campaign an even greater test of focus and resilience.
