Infantino excited about upcoming events in Morocco

FIFA president, Gianni Infantino has expressed his satisfaction and excitement about upcoming events in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Infantino lauded Morocco in a recent outing on Sunday in the sidelines of his arrival for the final of the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final which triumph for the third edition running, defeating Angola 5-1 to land their third continental crown.

“Morocco has established itself as a global football power. Football dominates, breathes, vibrates, and lives in this country,” Infantino told the media on arrival at the Rabat-Sale International Airport.

Fans of the Futsal Atlas Lions confirmed Infantino’s comments by creating an electric atmosphere on Sunday evening at the Salle Palais des SPO in Rabat, pushing their country to victory in the presence of the FIFA and CAF president plus other top guns in the football industry.

Going forward, the FIFA president is quite excited about future events in Morocco with the country having a number of events in the making.

“We know what Morocco knows and can do. Morocco has established itself not only on the field with its historic World Cup semi-final qualification, but also as a host country for major events,” Infantino added.

Morocco has delivered in all events hosting challenges presented before them and the future promises will be more exciting with the men and women’s AFCON plus the much-anticipated 2030 FIFA World Cup.
