Cotonsport of Garoua teenage midfielder Jean Eric Moursou has been voted 2023 revelation player in the MTN Elite One championship.

The 18-year-old former Cameroon U-17 international won the award ahead Arthur Avom of Lorient and outgoing Bamboutos FC of Mbouda defender Frank Atsama.

Avom had a great 2022/23 season on the books of Fauve Azur Elite while Atsama formed an important part of the Bamboutos FC defense that finished third in the MTN Elite One championship last season. Unfortunately both missed out on the trophy to Moursou.

Moursou, a product of the Cotonsport Academy had a great 2022/23 season for the Garoua outfit, helping the club win their third domestic championship crown in a row.

The box-to-box midfielder was a regular for the North outfit and massively contributed in his side’s strides.

He has been linked with a move away from Cotonsport but tonight is reserved for celebration of the player’s latest personal trophy.
