Cameroon international and Brentford forward Bryan Mbuemo is likely to miss AFCON 2023 in Cote D’Ivoire.
The Cameroon international was stretched-off the pitch Wednesday December 6, 2023 in Brentford’s 2#1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has disclosed that the injury is bad and the team will determine the severity in the days ahead.
“It’s bad, I don’t know how bad. We don’t have the exact number of weeks. He will definitely be out for Saturday and for weeks”, Thomas Frank said.
Should the injury be serious, the Indomitable lions of Cameroon may do without the attacker in the upcoming AFCON.
Bryan Mbuemo scored a penalty for Brentford in the defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion before leaving the pitch after an injury.
Mbuemo has scored 7 goals and provided three assists for Brighton this season.
