Andre Onana Onana of Inter Milan become the first Cameroonian goalkeeper to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League following their 3-0 aggregate win against cross town rivals AC Milan after the second-leg game this Tuesday evening at the San Siro.

Skipper Lautauro Martinez scored the lone goal in the return-leg game to add to the comfortable 2-0 win in last week’s reverse fixture as Onana kept his fourth clean sheet in a row against AC Milan.

Coach Simeone Inzaghi’s held on to their advantage to reach the final for the first time since 2010.

Onana kept his eighth clean of the competition to ensure he keeps his great run in the competition and join the prestigious list of Cameroonians to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Onana will be part of the Inter contingent in the final in Istanbul as he joins the likes of Geremi Njitap, Samuel Eto’o, François Omam-Biyik, Joel Matip, Eric Maxim Choupo Moting and Lauren Etame as the few Cameroonians to be affiliated to a club that reached the competition’s final.

Inter Milan will face the winner of the semi-final tie between holders Real Madrid and Manchester City scheduled on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
