Blue Corpo Championship: All is set for launching in the North West

The Blue Corpo and Veteran Football Committee of the North West region has announced that the championship in the North West region will be launched Sunday June 11, 2023, in Bamenda.

The Blue Corpo championship in the North West region will bring together three veteran clubs from the region and the champions will represent the North West region in the national finals.

The teams are the Bamendakwe Central Veteran, Bamenda Central Veteran and Ayaba Veteran FC.

The launching ceremony to be chaired by the President and Focal Point for the North West region Dighambong Anthony Mvo shall take place at 9:30am at the football field of the University of Bamenda.

In the opening match, the Bamenda Central Veteran will take on Bamendakwe Central Veteran.

According to the Secretary General of the North West Corpo and Veteran Committee Gopti Emmanuel, the championship in the North West region will be played on home and away basis.

“The championship in the region will be played on home and away basis and all matches shall take place in the University of Bamenda”

“At the end, the first two teams will qualify to represent the North West region at the national level”, he said.

The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, signed a one year renewable deal to promote Corporate and Veteran football in Cameroon.

The Corporate and Veteran football championship has been baptized Blue Corpo championship.

The championship that is in its maiden edition is taking place at the regional levels and will produce a regional champion to compete at the national level.
