Experienced Cameroonian football Writer Angu Lesley Ngwa Akonwi, has been appointed Media Officer of the CAF Champions League game pitting Cotonsport of Garoua to Mamelodi Sundowns FC on February 17 in Garoua.

According to our sources, the body informed Angu and other concerned parties about the move 72 hours ago as they named officials for Match Day 2 of the 2022/23 season matches.

Angu who only returned from the club World Cup this week is expected to travel to Garoua before February 13 to prepare ground for smooth media operations when two of the continents big names battle for match points at the Roumde Adjia stadium.

The game will be Angu’s fourth in the past few months in the interclub competitions and he is expected to collaborate with colleagues from Rwanda, Morocco, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria.

Media Officer during last season’s CAF Confederation Cup games when TP Mazembe, Al Masry, FC Otoho Oyo played against Cotonsport in Garoua, Angu is part of the new CAF team giving African football a new shine.

The former Media Officer of Cameroon’s U17 national team was CAF Media Officer at AFCON 2021 in Cameroon and content creator for the same institution during the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
