Victoire Fandong and Edwige Nsali have earned first three points of the 2022/23 Guinness Super League season for Caïman Filles of Douala following a 2-1 win over visiting Ngadeu FFA.

Ngadeu’s consolatory goal was scored Sydoni Ewodo, which was a 62nd minute equalizer after her side was a goal down.

Caiman Filles of Douala took the lead at the 41st minute, courtesy of a goal from Victoire Fandong following a defense blunder.

A 1-0 first-half scoreline separated both sides for the break, already giving an upper hand to the host.

Upon resumption, Coach Tatiana Emboumbou of Caiman, reinforced her attack, bringing in regular starter, Paola Letricia who today started on the bench, for Dorantine Nganje.

Sydoni Ewodo leveled for the girls from Ngaoundere, taking advantage of a cross to strike in a beautiful shot to the back of the net at the 62nd minute.

Eleven minutes later, Ngadeu’s Edwige Nsali headed the second for Caiman, winning the game.

The game ended 2-1, handing Caiman her first three points of the season.

However, Ngadeu’s Sydonie Ewono who scored the lone goal for the losers, was voted woman of Guinessico.

Note that, this top match pitted two underdogs so far in the competition who had not recorded a single win in five games.

Caiman has broken the deadlock by recording her first victory after five consecutive loses. Meanwhile, Ngadeu still has Matchday seven to make amends. They are yet to record a point.
