Cameroonian midfielder Kaiba Djawal, has been spotted in Austria, few days after cotonsport’s coach Gabriel Haman had declared him missing.
Following their 0-4 defeat to Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua on Friday, one of the big questions coach Haman had to answer from the press, was the whereabout of Kaiba Djawal, after the 20-year-old did not feature in the game.
“Kaiba has disappeared. I don’t know his whereabouts. I don’t know if he is still with the club or he has left. It is very embarrassing to work with people with such an attitude. He hasn’t turned up for training since Monday,” coach Gabriel Haman said last Friday.
Hours after Gabriel Haman’s comments, Cameroonian media outlet CFOOT, reported that Kaiba was in Nigeria to get his visa to Austria, and later on Saturday evening reported that he was already in Germany, heading to Austria.
On Sunday evening, images of Kaiba Djawal in Austria, went viral, as the midfielder visited the Cashpoint Arena, home ground for SC Rheindorf Altach.

The midfielder had agreed a deal with SC Rheindorf early this year, but was reportedly to stay at cotonsport till the summer before moving to Austria.
With a recent turn of poor results for Cotonsport both in the CAF Champions League and Elite one championship, it is surprising how the midfielder left the club, without the knowledge of club officials as per coach Gabriel Haman.
Kaiba is now expected to complete other formalities, and finalize his deal to become a new SC Rheindorf player in the days ahead.
SC Rheindorf Altach are currently ranked bottom of the Austrian Bundesliga with 17 points from 22 games.
Kaiba last featured for Cotonsport on Saturday March 11, in their 1-0 defeat to Avion Academy of Nkam at the Bonamousadi stadium in Douala.
