Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala and her Barcelona teammates made history by becoming the first football team to win 50 straight league games.
The Spanish Champions achieved this on Wednesday with a 7-0 win over Las Planas.
Oshoala put up a player-of-the-match performance by scoring three goals to help her team achieve the historic feat.
The hat trick was her first of the season achieved during a historic match.
The former FC Robo Queens player won the top goal scorer prize last season and remained the first and only African player to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She also became the first and only African player to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final against Lyon.
Before Barcelona’s 7-0 win which made the team the first club to achieve 50 straight league wins, no club (both men or women) have been able to win 50 straight league games.
The team will take its record-extending feat to Granadilla Tenerife in its next league game.
