Morocco will host the Total Energies CAF Futsal AFCON championship for the second time in a row.
On Thursday, the official draw for the CAF Futsal AFCON group stages was conducted at Mohamed VI Football Complex in Rabat, Morocco.
The North African giants are pooled in group A alongside 2020 third best finishers Angola, Ghana and returnees Zambia.
Since its inception in 1996, only three countries have reached glory namely Egypt, Libya and the Atlas Lions.
More history beckons for Morocco who eye a third consecutive success, a record previously held by all time winners Egypt.
First claimed triumph in South Africa 2016, victory for Morocco at this year’s finals will see them match Egypt who won it on two several occasions as hosts ( 1996, 2000).
Close favorites Libya, Egypt are in group B together with new comers Namibia, and Mauritania.
Scheduled to take place from 11th-21st April, the tournament Will see the top three teams secure automatic qualification at this year’s FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan.
