The lunch time clash between UMS of Loum and Avion Academy of Douala didn’t happen as planned this Thursday at the Mbappe Leppe stadium.
According to our sources at the venue, the game which was supposed to kick-off at 1:30pm was delayed till 2:30 before being abandoned after officials of Avion Academy refused to play without the full complement of licenses for their opponents.
According to Amadou Tigana, the General Manager of UMS of Loum had engaged in the process of license production but unfortunately their licenses were not issued on time..
Discussions with match officials and supervisor did not yield any fruits as, Avion Academy insisted on seeing all 18 licenses required by the league.
“We came prepared to play even with the 13 licences we had handy. Unfortunately, our opponents refused to play because of the lack of the full complement of licenses,” Tigana explained at press time.
President Pierre Batamack on his claims to have paid all his players 24 hours to the encounter to have his licenses and will want his adversaries to do the same.
Fans who came to watch the match between Avion Academy and UMS of Loum at the Mbappe Leppe Stadium in Douala were left disappointed as the game was called off before it even started.
Both parties left the Mbappe Leppe stadium at 2:30pm. At that time, UMS of loum had received 18 licenses unfortunately, time had been exhausted.
The game was finally called off, with the Cameroon Technical Transitional Committee to decide on the outcome.
