The coach of Cote d’Ivoire league winners, Kra has seen his team’s 3-2 loss to Nigerian champions, Delta Queens as an experience in failure.
The already qualified team for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League as host fought hard but succumbed to a 3-2 defeat after going ahead in the fifth minute of the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers semi-final on Monday.
The second-place team from Group B will have a chance to win a bronze medal against Sam Nelly of Benin Republic on Wednesday.
“All have been said concerning the match,” coach Kra told pressmen after the semi-final match.
“I have a feeling of disappointment having lost the game. I would say failure is an experience. It’s an opportunity for us to push.
“When we return to Yamossoukro, It’s an opportunity for us to prepare for our forthcoming games.”
Athletico FC (host), ASFAR FC (Morocco, holders), and AS Mande (WAFU-B Champions) have qualified for the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast taking place in November this year.
They will be joined by champions from other zones like UNAF (North Africa), WAFU-A (West Africa), COSAFA (South Africa), CECEAFA (East Africa), and UNIFFAC (Central Africa).
