Raphael Varane’s late strike ensured all three points remained in Manchester but before and even after the goal Onana’s heroics completed the job.
In the end, Onana was named ‘Man of the Match’ after becoming the 11th Manchester United keeper to keep a clean sheet on his Premier League debut and the first Cameroonian goalkeeper to play in the championship.
