Cameroonian boxer and WBF champion Francis Tchoffo alias “The Fighter “, will on Friday, December 23,2022 take on the Argentina boxer Juan Manuel Obelar, in the opening battle of the World Boxing Championship scheduled for the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.
32 years after the Indomitable lions of Cameroon victory against Argentina at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. The Fighter as commonly called, interns making history repeat itself, by conserving his precious belt against the Argentina descent.
A total number of eighteen selected nations, are expected to converged in Yaounde for the giant world boxing Jamboree.
These countries includes; host Cameroon, Gabon, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Switzerland, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.The various boxers shall compete in the 50kg, 60kg, 64kg, 67kg, 75kg each respectively.
The competition is a join organization of the United Boxing Champion Academy, the African Boxing Federation and the Cameroon Boxing Federation. And is placed under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.
Prior to Friday’s boxing fiesta, tickets prices ranges from 2000,5000 and 25000 Francs CFA . And are available in Yaounde, precisely at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex for the boxing die hearts.
