Guinness Super League: LFFC unveils new season calendar

Officials of the Cameroon Women’s Professional Football League(LFFC), on Wednesday, December 21,202 made public the new season calendar for the 2022/23 league dubbed Guinness Super League.

The Guinness Super League fixtures scheduled carries January 14,2023 , as the official kick-off day for play in the towns of Yaounde, Douala and Bambili.

In order to ensure a splendid season,the League authorities have held a series of working sessions with the various club officials , so as to conclude on the practical modalities to be respected by clubs.

The 2022/2023 season, will be marked by the arrival of new comers AS Fortuna and Ngadeu FC . The objective, for the year 2023,is to improve on the quality of play style, for a better performance of Cameroonian clubs in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

It is worthy of note that, the 2022 league winners AS AWA FC, in 22 league games played last season, recorded 19 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats (to Caiman FF of Douala and Canon FF).

The defending Champions picked 58 points out of the possible 66, 14 points ahead of second-placed Amazone FAP.

The long break, also served as an opportunity for clubs like Lekie FC, AS AWA FC, Canon Ladies, FC Ebolowa, Louves MINPROFF , Eding and FAP Amazone to reinforce their teams with the recruitment of new players.

As well as, opened the doors for local players to penned new contracts, with foreign-based clubs.
