Uganda’s Aucho clinches treble with Young Africans

Uganda Cranes midfielder Aucho Khalid is once again a champion after Tanzania giants Young Africans pipped Azam 1-0 in finals of the 2023 Azam Sports Federation Cup.

Zambian international Kennedy Musonda solo effort in first stanza after 14 minutes ensured Yanga complete a treble at Nkwakwani Stadium on Monday evening.

Aucho started the game and was pivotal in their midfield in a bid to retain the Tanzania FA Cup.

He adds another silverware to the
vibrant season where they had already won the NBC Premier league title and Community shield.

A key figure in Nabi’s side , the Cranes vice captain saw his contact extended at the start of this year.

On the continent , Yanga had an amazing campaign reaching on the finals of the CAF Confederation Cup where they lost the title to USM Algers.

Aucho , is expected to join the Cranes camp in Cameroon with the nation gearing up preparations ahead of AFCON qualifier against the Desert foxes of Algeria.
