Transfer: Mahop gets breakthrough in Oman

28-year-old former Coton Sport goal poacher, Emmanuel Mahop Dikongue has joined Oman division one side IBRI Club.

The 2023-2024 season top scorer, joins IBRI Club after spending a season, with Cameroon’s most capped league side Coton Sport of Garoua.

Mahop’s breakthrough, comes after a series of failed trials in Saudi Arabia. The prolific and top notch goal poacher, reputed for his fast and scintillating mastery of the discipline, holds one of his best moments in Cameroon back with Canon Sportif of Yaounde, where he finished the season on a fourteen goal record.

Though no information has been made on the duration of his contract,IBRI club are currently sixth spot holders on the thirteen teams Omantel First Division League .

Trained at the Fundes Sport football academy, Mahop played as a shot stopper before becoming an attacker.

Dikongue has once been called up with the Indomitable Lions, during their double confrontation against Namibia, counting for day fifth and sixth qualification games for AFCON 2023.
