Abha SC’s new recruit Karl Toko Ekambi scored his first goal for the club on Monday evening to help his new employers record a 2-1 win against Al Feiha at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium on match four of the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

Toko who joined the club days before the game from Lyon was trusted in the starting role and took very little time to announce his coming.

The Cameroon international found the back of the visitors net 36 minutes into his debut while Ahmed Jaber scored in the second segment to make it 2-0.

Fashion Sankala converted a late penalty for the visitors, but the comeback wasn’t to be as Czesław Michniewicz men held on to back home maximum points.

The latest victory is Abha SC’s second in four games. They count six points so far and seat seventh on the log going into their game against Al-Ta’ee on Friday.

This Tuesday, coach Rigobert Song will announce Cameroon’s squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Burundi. Toko is expected to be named in the squad that must get a point at home to book a spot in next year’s tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
