  • The vice-captain of Tonnerre Kalara Club, Émile Bomba Messo’o, has unexpectedly left the team’s base in Bafoussam without informing the technical staff
  • Amidst the ongoing MTN Elite Two playoffs, where TKC stands fifth with four points, Messo’o’s departure, under an active contract, raises concerns as the team prepares to face Dragon FC at Bamendzi Stadium

Tonnerre Kalara Club (TKC) of Yaoundé has been struck by a sudden and unexplained departure of its vice-captain, Émile Bomba Messo’o.

On March 29, Messo’o left the club’s home site in Bafoussam without notifying any members of the technical management, a move that has left many puzzled.

The club’s management alleges that Messo’o, who is still under contract until the season’s end, has taken an international flight, destination unknown.

This incident comes at a critical time for TKC, which is currently vying for a spot in the MTN Elite one. The club, which is currently positioned fifth on the playoff table with four points from three matches, is set to compete against Dragon FC this Thursday at the Bamendzi Stadium.

Messo’o, a Center Forward with prior experience at Ofta of Kribi, has been a pivotal player for TKC, and his absence could impact the team’s performance in this phase of the competition.
