Authentic Ladies FC of Douala skipper Tim Shalom Nakoma Ngam has been named in the 2023/24 Guinness Super League team of Game week 16 following her massive contribution to her club’s 1-0 win against Louves Minprof.
Shalom scored a thunderous free-kick to secure the 1-0 victory for the title chasing Authentic Ladies, thus attracting the attention of the panel in charge of picking the best performers to constitute the team of each game week.
Shalom’s team mate Ocenne Nana is also in the block as the only other Authentic Ladies FC player in the XI which also have two representatives each from FAP, Lekie Filles, Dja Sports Academy who all had impressive results plus a player each from FC Ebolowa, Awa Filles and Éclair of Sa’a.
Forward Manga Zouma and Moumazim Lizette of Lekie Filles have been rewarded for their goals in their clubs 2-0 with as they make the cut while Mvilongo and Dangole who also played a telling role in Dja Sports’ 3-1 win against Ita Mbong are in the mix alongside FAP duo Ngah Calixte Chantal who made a number of saves to keep a clean sheet against FC Ebolowa and Maague who was monstrous at the back in the goalless draw.
Nyadjou of Awa slots into one of the midfield positions, sharing the load with Mvilongo and Nana of Dja Sports Academy and Authentic Ladies respectively.
Éclair’s Kongnyuymo has been adjudged as the best left-back in game week 16 while coach Prosper Atangana of Dja Sports who pulled the magic one by beating Ita Mbong of Nkambe by 3-0.
The best XI per match day plays a telling role in deciding the team of the season and most often that not, regulars in the team of the week end up dominating the Guinness Super League team of the season.
Seven-goal skipper, Shalom has been regular in the team of the week this season giving her form and role in driving third-place Authentic Ladies towards a podium finish.
