CAF CL: Ahmed Kouka’s goal puts Al Ahly close to last four

Al Ahly edged Simba 1-0 in the first leg of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League on Friday.

Ahmed Nabil Kouka scored his first goal in the CAF Champions League for the Egyptian side.

The goal came as early as the fourth minute at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The return leg will take place on April 5, 2024, at the Al Salam Stadium, in Cairo.

Meanwhile, three other games will take place in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final this weekend.

Esperance Tunis will welcome the Ivorian side, A SEC Mimosa in Tunisia.

Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) travel to Tanzania to face Young Africans.

TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Petro Atletico (Angola) will face off in the other game.
