The management of Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe has promised two millions FCFA as bonus revenue to its staff if they win their first game of the 2023 Southwest Regional League playoffs.

ISOHSA faces Bright Stars of Kumba on Sunday at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium in the third quarter-final fixture of the tournament to determine the 2023 champion of the region.

During a meeting with the players last week management led by president Karl Njomo Mokake announced a windfall motivation for their first game of the competition.

“I have spoken with my team and we have decided each player will get 100 000 FCFA as match bonus for a win in the quarter-final and we intend to continue this way all the way,” president Njomo stated emphatically in the meeting at U-complex.

ISOHSA finished the group phase of the championship as Group C winners, making it a date against Bright Stars of Kumba who finished runners-up up in Pool D. Each of the 18 players retained for the game is expected to get 100 000 FCFA if they deliver the expected results while the rest goes to the staff who already have an undisclosed motivation.

The game on Sunday at the Molyko Omnisport stadium promises to produce fireworks and the ISOHSA management is keen on showcasing the standards of the region through it.

“We know you have been committed all season just like our opponent. Your duty on Sunday is to play out your lungs for the badge of our club especially as you face a side that has its qualities,” President Mokake added.

The squad retained by coach Nlend Aime for the game will hold a final training session in Limbe this Saturday before moving to their base to intensify preparations ahead of Sunday’s showdown.

The regional playoffs gets underway on Saturday with two crackers – multiple champions Best Stars Academy face Njalla Quan Sports Academy in a Limbe derby for the opener while Istanbul FA grind ashes with Tiko United FC in the second game this Saturday at the Molyko Omnisport stadium.

ISOHSA versus Bright Stars Academy is the lunch time fixture on a Sunday that will be capped by a meeting of hosts Buea United FC against Kumba City FC.
