Cameroon International, Jean Pierre Nsame was on target for Young Boys Bern in their 1-2 away loss to Servette in day 26 of the Swiss Super League.

The Indomitable Lions forward opened scores 25 minutes into the encounter from a Lewin Blum assist. Unfortunately, his lone goal wasn’t enough to secure a win.

Patrick Pflücke pulled the comeback for the host at the 84th minute, 15 minutes after Chris Bedia leveled scores.

Involved in 24 games this season, Nsame has scored 14 goals and recorded four assists.

The 29-year old has been unarguably prolific in the club’s league games this 2022/23 football season, which eventually earned him a call to be part of Cameroon’s 2022 World Cup Squad.

Considering this impressive performances, Cameroon football lovers were baffled when Nsame did not feature in Cameroon’s 24-man squad for the 2023 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Nsame, continued reassuring of his fine form by scoring the first goal of this match day 26 encounter against Servette, an early lead which could have ended in favour of his team, but for some defense blunders. He was involved in the game for 66 minutes.

Despite the defeat, Raphael Wicky’s boys still hold the first position on the league table with 54 points, 15 points away from second place Servette.
