The head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Rigobert Song, has included Toulouse forward, Frank Magri to a squad of 24 players expected in camp this weekend ahead of their international friendly games against Russia in Moscow and Senegal in Lens.

The Cameroon squad announced this Wednesday includes Toulouse’s Magri for the first time in his career.

The 24-year-old French-born forward passed the eligibility requirements of representing Cameroon via his Cameroonian mother though he has a French father.

Magri joins the returning Jean Charles Castelletto of FC Nantes plus Sheriff’s Jerome Ngom and Pierre Kunde Malong who were not part of the team during the September squad due to varied reasons.

The squad of 24 players expected to camp in France for the Russia friendly to be held at VTB-Arena in Moscow on October 12 with the kick-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Moscow time (4:00 p.m. GMT) and Senegal on October 16 in Lens.

Unattached Fabrice Ondoa is among the three goalkeepers retained for the games alongside Andre Onana, who is struggling for form at Manchester United and Devis Epassy starved of game time at Saudi Arabia side, FC Abha.

The defensive back four against Burundi, made up of Wooh Christopher, Harold Moukoudi, Olivier Mbaizo and Nouhou Tolo all keep their places as well as Malcom Bokele of Bordeaux, Lorient’s Darlin Yongwa and Jean Charles Castelletto who returns from suspension.

Coach Song has settled for familiar faces in midfield including Zambo Anguissa, Gael Ondoua, Olivier Ntcham and returning Kunde Malong who were all at the last FIFA World Cup but face real competition for places with Olivier Kemen.

Samuel Oum Gouet has been left out because of an injury sustained while on duty with his club while there is still no place for Martin Hongla and Jean Emile Onana.

Captain Vincent Aboubakar leads the crop of forwards that includes; Njie Clinton, Moumie Ngamaleu, Bryan Mbeumo plus new boy Frank Maggi.
